Shipping Tires via UPS or other

Who has sold tires and shipped them to a buyer recently? I have someone interested in my 5ea Michelin LTX A/S 265x70R17 but I have no idea how they need to be configured, bound or boxed and what I should expect for cost.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated...

I ship tires UPS all the time, ship them seperate, just run tape around the tire over the shipping label.

My 35" Toyo's came in with a UPS sticker on each, no packaging at all. The driver tells me they handle tires like this all the time.

Rick,

You can probably answer a question I have. If you just ship them as tires (not being boxed or wrapped), does UPS still tack on the rediculous $5 per tire additional charge? That one always ticked me off.
