Any insurance should cover it since it's part of the truck. Sorta like pulling a trailer, it's cover by you vehicle insurance.

Yes I did, but after being hit with almost 7000lbs at 60 MPH and sliding on it's side for about 75yds I didn't need it. Instant death by RAM.

I would recommend asking your insurance to buy a front end replacement bumper instead of replacing the factory stuff. It would be cheaper, protect you more, and look better. This is what I did, and they were more than happy to.

Thanks for the suggestion, but the parts have already been purchased by the body shop. I wish I had thought of that I would have asked and could have done it, probably.

Bummer. Looks like alot less than 5,000, but hey its a picture and we cant see the internal damage. Man I have killed way more with a truck that I ever did with a rifle.

Just remember that a machine can be replaced and you cant.

Sorry to see a thing like this happen, but you are ok and thats what is important.

I found some genuine real wood to knock on
(not this fake stuff the computer desk is made of).

And, just to be safe, threw some salt over my shoulder.
(then apoligized to the guy standing behind me )
