September Truck of the Month (Wrecked)

:'( :'( Sad day around here. I hit a deer night before last, broad side, full frontal impact at 60 MPH. Knocked the thing about 75 yds. If I hadn't had a grill and brush guard on the truck it would have come thru the windshield. Even with that protection it done 5000.00 worth of damage. besides the hood assembly it got the AC condenser, Trans cooler and the intercooler. So guys watch out for the deer.

Glad your not hurt I live in an area with lot's of deer and it is one of the reasons I drive the big truck at dawn and dusk. Just think what if you were driving an S-10 or worse yet a mini-cooper the deer would prolly still be alive and you would have been thrown the 75 yrds. hope your CTD is well soon

Yes I do have some pics, but i've been real busy since it happened and I haven't had time to crop them down so they will fit. But I will get them on here ASAP.
And friend of mine said yesterday that it must have been a dumb deer to think he could tackle a RAM.

Re:September Truck of the Month (Wrecked)

Hope this isn't the start of the "Curse of the Truck of the Month"

If so, at least October and November get visited by the curse before December. :

Glad the humans involved are ok.

Might be a good time to upgrade that bumper and grill guard to a Buckstop, or DOR.

Does your insurance cover a new grill guard?

Re:September Truck of the Month (Wrecked)

;D Yes it does. The one I had was bumper mount and the one the body shop is replacing it with is a frame mount and suppose to be a little heaver duty.
The guy at the body shop also said that Dodge trucks are made tougher in the front end that Ford or chevy. That made me feel better about owning a Dodge.
