Darned Squids..........

Got woke up at 1230 my time by one of those "agencies that don't exist" having a problem.
Da puppy heard my voice, as I was on the phone in the kitchen
(so I would only have to put up with one voice "barking" at me).
Then Obi decided if the puppy could bark, he would too.
Spent the night in a recliner in the basement with Obi beside me, and Princess asleep on my chest.
Of course, now they're both asleep in the bed with Wifey.

I NEED COFFEE!!!!!!!!!

Fresh Nanner-Nut-Bread in the kitchen, coffee is almost ready.

Just came wheeling in from work. Need to mow today probably, doing 1/2 acre now since neighbor passed away and his Mrs went to nursing home. 7 trees and a bunch of bushes to mow around, about a 2 hr chore now counting weed-eating. Also need to make wifey a clothesline in the basement for her unmentionables.

 

looks like a nice day outside, cool towards crisp temp, just right for cleaningout the toolbox int he bed, that thing collects more "stuff" than a dumpster behind an apartment complex, who put all that junk iin there anyway??? when did he really think he was actually gonna use it and for what ???? its gonna take me half an hour till I can see the bottom Well at least my hand is starting to losen up, got a darned thorn from a osage orange that just nailed me while working on the gun club property yesterday and man I imagine its as bad as a mesquite thorn..... thorns don't even have to stay in ya to ruin your day, I hate them trees. Well I got my work cut out for me tonight, I am watching an item on E bay and really want to get it, not for the truck but something I want nonethe less, if I get it I'll chime in later, goes off this evening & I am trying to keep it hush hush as not to draw more bidders to it any ways time for another cup o joe....... later.

 

Mikmaze, them thorns seem to find the end of a nerve running straight to the core !! Used to get nailed with yucca thorns and jumping cactus when I was a kid. Hurt for hours .

Mrs. Pistol called a while ago ... had to run eldest son to see the doc. A brown recluse decided to have some lunch on his thigh. He doesn't know when or where it happened so it looks like they will be on bug patrol with the vacuum cleaner today ... sucking up all the nasty critters. I told her to go pick up some Diatomaceous Earth to sprinkle around the outside of the house and in the carpets. Supposed to work wonders for keeping the creepy crawlies out. Probably rub down the animals with it as well for flea and tick relief.

She said that she isn't feeling to well again either. She has had to see the doc a few times over the past month due to complications with this little one. Apparently there was two of them in there but one didn't make it . So we are a little bit paranoid these days.

But on the bright side ... only 353 days until retirement !!!
That means the old lady who is the Walmart door greeter better start looking for a different job. If she's still there when I get home I may have to kick her walker out from under her .... move over, that's MY JOB, GRANNY !!

Did somebody say Osage Orange thorn?

When I was 12 I tripped and fell in the woods behind my house and drove one of those thorns into a tendon in my left hand. Wound up needing surgery to get that stupid thing out. Those trees oughta be eradicated, they are a just an annoyance with the thorns and the useless green "fruit" making a mess all around them.

OK, I feel better now.

 

Hey, Nanner nut bread is goooooodddd. Thanks, SH. Coffee isn't bad either, but next time how about some chocolate almond. At least no bristles floating around in it from the maid.

Warm in paradise today. Summer is coming. High 80's today. Went out and swept the lanai and ended up with a slight sweat. Oh well, the pool took care of that - - - and got me really wet.

Wine country sends it's best regards out to ya- about 38 here, snow flakes this AM and steady winds at 30mph with gusts to 50mph. Haven't knocked the tractor over yet; berries on schedule for a good crop, logs ready to cut up for next winter- if it ever ended actually.... have to test out a log grapple we built but NOT in this wind, brrr... stew is made and hot SOMETHING will taste good! Hubby home at 10:30pm means 30 seconds of cuddling before we both are off to snooze land. Anyone else in Canada or Alaska love this life?
I am so jealous of MexStan, FiverBOB and the glorious weather but then I would never get any work done.........awwwwwww

 

All is well in Canuckville. Got the Western Canada Strongman comp behind me...now its time to head to MT and look at some [censored] and some [censored] so I don't keep getting hit by [censored] by the previous [censored]


Garden is coming up, 40 hills of potatos, peas, carrots, spinach, radishes, garlic, pumpkins, beans and Zuchinni etc etc.

well hot dawg, finger still buggin me but it did not get in the way of me winning the bid on the item I was watching, a complete 225 gallon aquarium, stand, light, and filters for way below what I would have paid if new, Now I just gotta sell the old " little 120 gallon " this tank is gooing to be awesome, I know just the spot for some killer rocks to make this one heckuva setup, wheres that dancin sheep smiley??? well I still need to meet up and pickup this bi beast ut I think the "C" won't even know its in the back of the truck. man can bidding get stressful, I need a cold one to settle in for the night, later all hope everyone else has some good come their way as well.

 

Okay who sent the rain to so cal. Spent the weekend up in central cal seeing family and in warm weather. Come home and it's raining. This is so not cool. It's almost summer time and it's not supposed to be raining.
Oh well though. Got to go see hubby while he's at another base for school. Only four weeks to go and he'll be home from this class. Hopefully the navy will let him stay home for a while in between now and depolyment time again.

Still drying out from getting caught in the rain yesterday.
Wifey and I Went to New Hampshire on the geezer-glide yesterday.
Stopped at Monadnock Harley Davidson to get some shirts for us and her father, it's his birthday this week.
Walked outside and it started to rain, oh well, put the rain gear on.
Got caught in a couple of heavy downpours on the way home.
Put about 250 miles on yesterday, half of that in the rain.

Today, very busy day ahead.
Gotta get some coffee.

The Beast got the nod this morning as I had to drop Wifey off at her work vehicle this morning.
CoooOOOoooL temps (40s) @ OMG it's early when the dogs went out.
Temps heading for the low 70s this afternoon.

Lots to do, need super High-Test caffeine buzz to even get outta the chair.

Morniin all, good coffee this morning again whoever made it. No bristles again - - very good. Weather is very nice but starting to cloud over - - we need the rain bad. Had some good rains last week but the lakes are mud holes and the alligators are getting restless. Had an 8'er in the subdivision last week next door to my sis-in-law. Curled up in front of the guys garage. Mating season plus reduced habitat is making them move into new territories and find new morsels to feed on - - - like someone's leg - - or their pooch.

JWbeme - - you would get all kinds of things done down here - - you have almost 365 days every year in which to do them - - stuff like boating, fishing, golfing, RVing, swimming, tennis, walk the beach - - all that stuff that costs money but doesn't help you make much money.

It is work on the computer day today - - monitor keeps blinking on and off, on and off - - drives me crazee. So, soon as this is off it is coming apart and try to spot whatever is giving the problem. Nice big expensive flat panel - - don't want to have to buy another one.

I'M BAAAACK!

Didja' miss me? Man I been busy! Haven't even had the time to check in here, let alone make the AM coffee. Started with 35 things to do on my 'to-do' list at the beginning of April. Got 19 of them done before I had to come back out here to Massachusetts. Now all I got left to do when I get back is the 'big' stuff. Yay. Can't wait.

I made the coffee! Prob'ly seems kinda nice to have good coffee again, eh? Sorry 'bout the bristles, I'll try and leave a few in tomorrow's batch.
