Saying thanks when they return
Saying thanks when they return
My buddy sent me this link, it is about saying thanks to the men and women in uniform when you don't know how...

Wow, I can't tell you guys how much a sincere "Thanks" can mean to any of these guys. I was working in Leavenworth this past week and during a break I walked up to an old Vietnam vet and said "Hey man, thanks for serving this great country, it means a lot to me and my family." He broke down and said how grateful he was that someone my age recognized his efforts. Hell I'm 42 and was only 6 when family and friends were involved in that mess. I started thanking these guys after Desert Storm when it really hit me that this is serious and they carry it forever and can never really forget it.
Thanks for the website tip!

I have a way to let individual service personnel know that you appreciate their service.
When ever I find myself in a restaurant or service station and military personnel are present, they are told by the wait staff or attendant (after they order/ fuel) that their purchase has been paid for by a grateful American who wishes to remain anonymous.
Makes me feel good to know that I did something for underpaid military and does not unduly embarrass them.
