Satellite Radio Help
Satellite Radio Help
I have a plug and play (portable unit w/ FM modulation) Sirius satellite radio that I move between my truck and a work car that at time it gets really hissy/poppy sounding.. My hometown does have very strong stations on two of the four stations the modulator sends on, but my wifes unit is much clearer/cleaner sounding than mine...
I found out this morning by accident that if i leave my work car door open (while parked, before you ask LOL) the radio is very clear, but when you close the door the receptions gets bad again.. The receiver/modulator is windshield mounted at the driver side beside the A pillar.. The car antenna is located on the passenger side, rear quarter panel.. The satellite antenna is roof mounted and the cable runs between the front and rear driver side doors.. i have the antenna cable running along the driver side floor and then up to the receiver..
Any have ideas on why opening/closing the door would change the reception?? Would changing the receiver postion or antenna cable location solve this problem?
thanks for any suggestions
