Sand Blasting Cabinet

Any one use one of these? I have a project I need it for at work and am wondering if you can use baking soda in it as a media. I don't want anything too abrasive for this project and mainly want some insight as to whether or not you can use baking soda in this particular model.

Never used or heard of using baking soda and don't think it would do anything.
For the delicate stuff I use walnut shells like these> http://www.harborfreight.com/25-lbs-...dia-92155.html

I've seen painters use corn meal to blast a house clean. It didn't hurt the wood, and the birds ate it all up when done.

I have one that looks an awful lot like that one that I use to bead blast firearms with before bluing. Depending on what kind of material you are trying to blast, baking soda can do a nice albeit fine job.

It will mainly depend on the air supply and how well the pick up tube draws the media.

I am in the cleaning and restoration business and baking soda is being used as a media for mold and delicate items due to the fact that it is "green" and does not harm glass, wood, and other delicates, but will strip paint off metal. I think I am going to give it a shot.
