I was coming out of town last night and a Chebby 2wd dullie gasser took off beside me at the stop sign. The hill we were going up is about a 7% grade and 3/4 mi. long witha good curve in the middle and a dip in the curve to boot.<br>It's the toughest hill around this town to pull loaded.<br>When I heard the Chebby punch it at first I didn't think much about it. ( Mama and the kiddies were with me ) Then my son ( Micah 8 Yrs. old ) said smoke em dad and I couldn't resist.<br>He had a 75 yard jump on me and I passed him before the curve in the middle of the hill. I let out of it because of the dip and let him catch up and get beside me. He was still in it ( I could hear them glasspacks cackeling ) then I mashed it down again ( didn't downshift stayed in 5th ) and when we toped the hill I was about 5 lengths ahead and still pullin. Runnin about 100 mph. <br>Man it's alot of fun to blow the doors off of some smart butt kid's truck that daddy bought for him and he thinks an old rattlin diesel can't touch him. Not pulling a load, but eat gassers alive all the time. Just ate some S-10 who thought it was funny that I had gauges on a diesel. He had duals so I call it a justified ***-raping.

 

Well, I have a story in the other direction.... as embarrising as it may be, I dont mind giving credit where its due.<br><br>The scene:<br>An intersection. The light was red for me. I was headed to go strait through the intersection once the light changed.<br>I was in the lane to head strait through the intersection. <br>On the other side of this intersection is the on-ramp to the freeway.<br>The on-ramp is a long climb. The grade is probably 6% to 7%.<br>However, the onramp starts off two lanes and then drops to just one lane as it merges onto the free-way.<br><br>The Competition:<br>Well, first off let me just make clear, that I *REALLY* did not wish to race this guy. <br>Anyway, beside me pulls up a white Dodge dually CTD pulling one of those goose neck car trailers that can carry three or four cars. (The driver only had one car on at the time).<br>There were no cars waiting behind him. But there were three cars waiting behind me.<br>So, my real intent was to quickly accelerate from the green light allowing all of the traffic to get in front of the Dodge Dually. <br>This way, the driver of the Dodge Dually wouldnt have to back peddle due to traffic while climbing the onramp.<br><br>The event:<br>Anyway, light goes green.<br>I gun it off the light. Supprised, I see the Dodge Dually also gun it off the light.<br>The driver must've though that if he guns it, then he would get out in front of all the cars, thus, not having to back peddle while climbing the hill.<br>By the time I realized what he was doing, we were nearing the point in the onramp that the two lanes drop to only one. However, by that time, the Dodge Dually had me. I let off to allow him safe entry into my lane. I flashed my lights to let him know he was clear and all was fine.<br><br>Result:<br>Yes, my empty CTD was beat by a loaded CTD! <br><br>Hmmm.... propane? <br>I dont know. <br><br>But I wonder how long it took to clear out all the black smoke that covered the onramp?<br><br> <br><br>Rich

 

I got me my first Ricer the other day i was pumped!!! B/C about 2 months ago they done this HUGE full page article on &quot;tuner cars&quot; in the newspaper adn there was this green civic i always see with white flames and all sorts of stuff down the side it was on the front page and they were going on about how bad @$s it was adn they listed his mods and it reallly wasnt that bad but anyhow he was the main focus of the article and it was saying how sweet these cars were and how fast they were and they were the new wave of &quot;hotRods&quot;<br>Well anyhow it made me sick!! And last tuesday i was at the light coming out of the mall and there he pulled right up beside me!!!! i couldnt resist i gave him a rev that shook the heveans and put out a thick cloud of blaack smoke that would make the devil cough! and he just looked at me and gave me one of those &quot;whatever&quot; looks! that Pi$*ed me off even more! the light turned and i launched HARD but he didnt even try because we were heading up a hill so he just gradually accelerated or maybe he was trying and that thing was having troubles making it haha! anyhow i slowed down to about 40 in third gear which i sreally winding out third and it is extremely loud when doing so! we reached the top of the hill and htere is a turn then a big straight then another turn going around the first curve i got in front of him (not racing) in his lane and shifted to fourth and let it get way low in the RPMs and then hit the fuel causing major smoke all over his little rice wagon! :-[ poor little guy, i just had to that got him in the mood to do some drivin'!! coming out of the curve he got in the right lane and got up by me going to pass i dropped it (by this time at about 2k RPM in 4th) and it was instant 2 car lengths out in front for me this made me ;D i went all the up to like 95 and had to slow down for the next curve and he finally did pass me in the curve (i am in a 7000lb truck and all) adn right after that curve is another light we were stopped there together i was ing and rolled the window down so he could see me doing so!! It was agreat night and he would race me at all from that next light or all the up the highway he finally turned off and i gave him another big rev and went home!! it was such an awesome night the little hometown hero on the front page ricer taken down by a 7000lb 4X4 DIESEL truck!!! I should get put in the paper now!!!!

 

THAT'S AWESOME!!! I can't wait to get some of those mods done so I can start smoking some cocky little b$%&amp;#*@s. :<br><br>-SFB

 

Got to play with a BMW 5 series today. Got me by a couple of car lengths off the line - but I was out in front and pulling away as we passed 60 - just say no to sauerkraut
