Davey,

Congratulations! I'm 57 and looking forward to retirement myself. Right now, we have the 5th wheel but not enough time to use it! My wife's current thinking is to keep the "sticks & bricks" house but go on the road for 3-4 months at a time. I guess we'll see how that works out.

Best of luck, and enjoy your retirement. Just remember, no one's tombstone says "I really wish I had spent more time at the office."

Been retired 7 years and love it. I get up when I want (no more alarm clocks), do things I want to do, stay in shape and generally enjoy a flexible, interesting life-style. I'm active in social/civic things but associate with fewer poot-heads in the world than when I worked. I would love to get a small travel trailer but my wife and I are too involved in local affairs to get away for extended periods.

Unhappy WOW !!!

I just wanted to say congradulations to you, you have definately worked long enough for it......but I only have one question for you and some of the folks that are already retired.....I have tried and tried to sleep in, on a holiday or sometimes on the weekend, and NO matter what I try, I am up and scratching to go to work at 5-6 am every day, I had a WHOLE week off at Christmas, and I was ready to choke the girlfriend and greet people at Walmart, I just wanted to go to work, dont get me wrong, I wish I did'nt have to "WORK" everyday, I'd rather play with a truck or an old MOPAR, but after so many years of routine, how do you just turn it off ???? I'm 31 and have been working since I was 13.......again I take my hat off to folks like you, and someone said/ or made the Comment, that..."At this point in your life you know everything and have most of the answer's to things....but that people dont ask the questions anymore" ..... Well I would love to sit and ask questions, I know what experience can do for you, and if you fella's will answer.....I will darn sure ask !!!! I hope I dont get in trouble for this, but a very close friend of the family's just passed away, he and his wife had a 30' 5 er, she has asked me to sel it for her, I will list it, but I would rather see someone that has the time to enjoy it, end up with it... I hope I have not upset the moderators here, I am not trying to pawn this, just help 2 parties out, and yes please edit this if it's not within the rules........Canucktrucks
