Just picked up 97 CC, 4 x 4, 5 speed long bed with 222,xxxx for $2700.00. The owner had painted the truck in the famous "camo" theme with primer. All the rubber on the truck has primer on it. What is the best method to clean the paint off the rear window rubber and all other exterior rubber on the truck? Even the door handles where sprayed over. Would paint thinner work best?

try lacquir (spelling ?) thinner and lots of elbow grease

 

I would call a body shop and see what they say. I think there is a product out there that will not punk the rubber and gel it but will just clean it really well but I can't remember what it is.

Might just try some good old WD-40 first. Sometimes that will take it right off.

 

I second the WD-40 trick.
