A while back I was asking questions about getting my girlfriend remote start for her car (2000 Mercury Cougar). Well someone suggested the AviStart 4400 (Made by DEI). I read up on it and it looked like a good unit so I ordered it and I have begun to put it in. I got some schematics off of the internet and they are good for the most part, but it is missing two wires that I need. One is the Park/Neutral switch on the gear selector, and the other is the dome light wire.

Does anyone know where I can get schematics online for cheap/free? I already looked on the12volt.com and they do not have schematics for this car.

Any help will be appreciated. I'm trying to get this done by Christmas morning so I can have her open up the remotes out on the deck and have her push the button.

have you checked your local library. some have really good technical manual sections. again, not all, but some. around here there is only one library in the whole county that has the good stuff.

Your information still does not list the dome light wire, is there a reason for that?
