I always have my digital camera with me wherever I go, I also have my GoPro Hero2 mounted inside the cab that records usually whenever the truck is running, tired of those "did you just see that" moments.

I've seen that many times, except without the opposing force of a semi at road speed.
Soccer moms get into an SUV. Put it in 4 wheel drive if it isn't full time already. Notice they can take off quite briskly on glare ice, and think that they are in full control at 70 mph on the same glare ice. I have had them exclaim to me as I'm salvaging their vehicle, "I don't know why it would do that, it's 4 wheel drive."
What they don't know is that if one wheel breaks loose on that ice in 4WD, all 4 will break loose. Even after doing 360's down the middle of the road and sliding off into the ditch, you have to explain it to them.
With good fortune, they'll stop in the road after awhile, or slide into a harmless ditch. Often, though, they upset in the ditch, or hit trees in the ditch, or meet oncoming traffic. It usually is pretty ugly.
If I'm driving a 4WD on ice, I put it into 2WD. If it gets to where 4WD is needed to proceed, I proceed slowly.

Just goes to show that anything can happen at any moment.. Count your blessings and enjoy the little things..
Looks like they got sucked into the "slush line" and lost it.. Very unfortunate and cost someone their live.

Busboy - we have had a lot of icy drives this winter. The thought of cruise control on bad roads gives me the chills. If the wheels start to break loose at all, I want to be able to come off the gas lickety split. CC and icy roads - eeeeeek.
