Red Light Bandit

I ran across this today and thought y'all might like it as well. One more reason to NOT drink and drive.

This happened right here in Vernon, B.C. How can you not notice that you are carrying a light post? Notice it's an Alberta truck. Why you shouldn't drink & drive! This driver hit the left turn island traffic light at 48 Ave. and 27th. street sheering it off at the base and then kept driving on about 2kms. to squires four pub. I am not sure if he stopped because the truck dumped all its oil or if the cops pulled him over but you would hope it was not for more beer. The truck was then towed back to Vernon Towings yard about 2.5kms. with the light still pinched between the two tow hooks and bumper. It took several hard pulls with the backhoe to get the light free. - Barry "Oh heck, it was a breeze getting here. I hit nothing but green lights all the way." M.

Notice the nice dent in the back bumper. Apparently it wasn't his first problem ever.

Gotta be a real picture. But that doesnt mean the driver didnt hit something and someone stuck a traffic light pole there to take the pics...Whatever the deal, its funny as heck.

I dunno, Im thinkin its real. And if it is a chop, theyre a perfectionist. The light appears to be at the same angle to the truck from all views. Thats gotta be tough to chop. No Ive never chopped anything before...
