I don't read much fiction. When I read a book it's usually a book about history or an biography/autobiography. I finished Billy Joe Shaver's autobiography "Honky Tonk Hero" a couple months ago. One of the best autobiographys i've ever read. And it's got the lyrics to every song he's published in it too. He's lead one hell of a life, and it makes a good book.

"Stalingrad: The Fateful Siege 1942-1943" , very good book and before that I read,

"The Long Walk, A True Story of a Trek to Freedom" Probably the best book I ever read, true story about a Polish army officer who is captured by the Russians in 1939, sent to a camp in Siberia where he escapes with 6 others and walks to India, yes WALKS! You won't be disappointed with these 2 books.

One of the best non-fiction books I've read is SOG by John Plaster great book about behind the lines in Vietnam. I've read alot of books on the Vietnam war, Six Silent Men all 3 books good reading, Blood On The Risers another good book of one guys 35 months in Vietnam, Fortune Favors The Bold a good read. The One That Got Away by Chris Ryan this guy is SAS in Iraq walked out 10 days without food the guy is tough! I guess reading all the books I have on the Vietnam War is why I have so much respect for the Vietnam Veterans. No matter the outcome those guys did a hell of a job.

Tom Clancy and Dan Brown

These are my two favorite authors. I have read almost everything that Tom Clancy has written, and I am on Deception Point by Dan Brown. I have already read DaVinci Code and Angels and Demons. Both were great books.

I think that reading only makes us smarter. It stimulates that imagination of ours, and helps us communicate better with those around us.

Pick up a book, any book, and read till you fall asleep.

That is a great book. Reads like a movie.

Dan Brown is one of the best story tellers I have read in a long time. I personally think that they should be making a movie on Angels and Demons instead of the DaVinci Code. But The Davinci Code was a great book also.

I'm getting ready to start Deception point. I can't wait to read Angels and Demons! I really enjoy Dan Browns writing style.
