Angry Rascall Flatts

I went to the Rascall Flatts and Blake Shelton concert at Columbus Crew Stadium at the Ohio State Fair last night. Blake Shelton was awesome, had a great time... very enjoiable....

Then Rascall Flatts took the stage. I have seen many concerts, many places, many differnt types of music. I was watching the concert and it appeared that they were lip syncing their songs. I am about 99% sure this was going on because there was singing happening while the singer had his mic held away from his face....

Also, many of the songs were covers from other bands.... I do not expect to see a country/pop band doing a cover of Great ***** of Fire. And it was a horrible rendition of the song at that. The other one that they performed was Friends in Low Places by Garth Brooks. To be quite honest, I have seen better karaoke versions of this song....

Just wanted to express my thoughts on this.... If it wouldn't have been for Blake Shelton's performance, I would have been upset about wasting $25.

Sorry bout the rant....

I don't care much for rascall flats songs either and Friends In Low Places is meant only to be sung by Garth Brooks and no one else. Only he can do that song justice.

The cover of Luchenbach on the Red River Tribute album is good... It's my Dad's CD, and I can't rember who did it but I do remember thinking it was the closest to Waylon an Willie anyone has ever come, by a long shot.

Trust me Blue, if you did not know about it you were the lucky one... It was bad. I have heard better kareoke covers then that one. But I thought it was Uncle Craker and Kenny Chesney.

(And if you did not by the Lucky Ones CD, you also were one of the lucky ones.... Kinda ironic.)

Uncle Craker? Hmmmm could be as well, they both sound alike, but in either case, you are right fellow texan.

Durasmack, that sucks. My wife got tickets to the same concert a month a go for up in Konocti, Ca. We also had tickets for Larry the Cable Guy @ the same place for the same weekend. We went up and camped for the weekend, saw Larry on Friday-he's awsome. Rasscal Flatts was on Sunday night. They decided to cancell the show shortly before the concert. This really sucked as this venue was really out of the way for most people, most people drove 1-2 hrs to see them. My wife and her freind had VIP backstage passes-so they were really bummed out-me I really didnt care as I dont care for them much-Im more of a traditionalist, when it comes to country, but Larry was awsome.
