Quick, I need Resume' help!

I'm going to a job fair and completely forgot to polish up my resume. It is in good shape, except for the "objective" part.

What would be a good objective statement for a college guy looking for work?

The main problem is that it needs to be GENERAL since there will be jobs of many fields there, not just one.

Upon farther investigation via Google, would I be better leaving the objective off all together?

I agree - if you're going to shotgun it out there for anyone to read, and aren't looking for any particular job, you'd probably want to leave the objective off - especially if it doesn't match the job openings you applied for.

But don't rest on your laurels just yet - start formulating a few different resume's tailored to certain objectives that you may want to pursue.

Good advice, and save every copy you make specialized towards a type of employer. That way, you don't have to change much when you look for a new Job.

Objective: I am seeking long term employment that will allow me to utilize the experience and knowledge received while pursuing my degree......

I did away with the objective completely. However, I did not remove the section. I changed it to "summary". This is what mine looks like:

Summary: College educated managerial professional with three years experience leading a team of 15 employees to achieve rigorous sales goals.

I have a few pages of resume notes I've taken here and there and this was one of the suggestions. I liked it so much that I immediately adopted it. Saves a lot of hassle from changing your objective for each employer. I know on more than one occasion I forgot to change my objective... that can't look good.
