I started this project when i was stationed in japan. Pulled it out of the closet today. How would you all run your exhausts on this??? I tried tig welding some mitered pieces, but it didn't work out. Any suggestions?
Long time since I looked at my Nitrous Stampede.
However, since I can't be any help, it doesn't mean that I can't derride...
Isn't this the kind of thing you think about BEFORE you install everything else?
Actually, in all reality, that looks awesome... Why not just run two individual exhausts? I don't see what's holding you back from doing that, and I'm not sure if the the two two-strokes would like breathing through a shared exhaust. (The golden rule with two-strokes is that they don't like much period...) I don't think that stock pipes would fit onto it, but could you just cut and re-weld a Stinger exhaust or the like so that it doesn't bend back over onto itself?
That one pull starter is in the way of whatever you're going to do, but wouldn't the second engine start the first one by itself? Or do they not have a common drive anywhere?

I would put one exhaust out each side.. the ports should be symetrical so you can turn one over to go the other way.
maybe lool at some of the helicopter exhausts, they do some crazy turns...

this is a factory truck that you can buy from OFNA. twin motors. sweet truck i have 2 of them and love them. in your case, your motors are facing the opposite way so you could just reverse the exuast to go straight out the back of yours. they make all sorts of different headers and pipes and i am sure you could find some that would suit your needs very well.

thanks for the info guys. When I started this, I was in japan. Not the best place to be when needing parts and cant speak the language. This was like 6 or 8 years ago. Kinda forgot about the whole thing for a while...lol. Anyway at the time, the exhaust manifolds would only bolt up one way. I think they were both to the right. Ill have to get into it hot and heavy again. This set up has a clutch in both engines. Its going to be tricky tuning the engines just right. What makes it hard, is they are both coupled to the main gear which has a 2 speed trans. To say the least, it will be interesting. Thanks again for the info, and ill let you know how it turns out.
