put headlights and taillights on my Crapsman Lawnmower

we live on a high speed "cut through" road from one part of town to another, and folks come HAULING around the corners.

i cut my grass, my neighbors (he's ~81) and the right of way on the road into the neighborhood.

that's alot of time on the side of the road, and alot of time, i cut my yard & neighbors late at night, dusk or dark to beat the heat.

The dash switch, it illuminates, just like it would on a car. the front hole is for the OEM lights, I had it out for access.

most of the colored wiring is OEM, the stuff I added is in the Flex Loom.
the Green tie wraps are my way of having something John Deere Green on my mower.

there's 2 relays mounted in a dual socket there, one for headlights, one for taillights

I wanted to put the front head lites and tail lites on one switch,
and another set of fog lites on the rear, on a separate switch for hooking up trailers & mowing in reverse, but ran out of effort.

Looks good. We have a similar model. If I had a situation such as yours, that'd be a darned good idea. Maybe you can do the rear fogs......tomorrow night

gonna throw it on the Battery charger occassionally, i reckon.

it's better to wear out the battery, than have some idiot run into me.

people drive like idiots now. seems get worse every day.
the back side of our area is a looooong straight away, 35mph,
i was going 40, had some guy pull around and pass me to go ~55 down there.

Cool, my 1650 hydro Cub Cadet has tailights and headlights but I've been thinking about upgrading them. I'm going to put l.e.d. tail lights on in place of the factory ones and then upgrade the headlights to a stronger light. I bought it mainly as a toy anyway and we use it for various little jobs around the place when I don't want to get one of the bigger tractors out. It has a rear lift system on it for brinley tools. I'm addicted to the made by International Tractor Company ID tags and the IH emblems on it.

YEP, batteries are cheap insurance compared to getting run over.
Don't even get me started on driving. I think to some people, driving is second in line to texting, phoning, eating, OOPS, there I go.

If the traffic is that bad, maybe a small rotating strobe(s) so you could be seen better?

hey wait, look at my ebay auctions, i do have a spare subwoofer:
http://motors.search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZ04vrscb

how would i mount that!!

the rears are dual LEDs, and I bent them forward a bit to shine some red when seen from the side.

i got the rears from a NAPA or something, big truck marker lights.
i had bought them to put on my motorcycle as auxiliary brake lights
i good a blinkie module for it instead.

and the fogs are $14.97 at Wally World.

the dang switch went bad, setting out in the weather.

gotta find a weather proof switch,
and they will kill the battery if you run them too long.

i just don't shut it off if i am mowing at night with them on.

they do work GREAT though.
