Pulled out two vehicles...
Snowing like the dickens here.
Anyway, its a blizzard, but got to go see the GF so off I go, but not too far and there is this Duramax trying to pull a car out of a six foot deep ditch. Slippery as hell and everything, so I idled up to the Dmax with all that glorious 12 valve attitude and said about as deadpan as I could:
"want me to pull him out for ya?"
To my surprise the guy said yes. That will tell you how nasty the weather is here, when there is no brand swagger and its really about helping out.
The car was up against a 4 wire barbed cow fence and the drop was steep. I had about two feet of gravel shoulder before the drop as a traction safety. The road was so slippery I got pulled right angle to the car/ditch but that was good- the gravel kept me where I needed to be and before long out he came.
Not everyone grew up driving on ice like I did and not every truck is set up to handle it, so in fairness to the Dmax guy it could be as much his fault/lack of confidence/experience as anything.
I will say my Powerstroke would not have pulled that car out. For whatever reason this truck just sticks better than my Ford did. The limited slip rear is much better than the one on my Ford.
I have 150,000 the Cummins now and it just keeps on strumming away. The more work the better it likes it.
The second pulled vehicle (a truck) is of no interest.

Yeah, same here. Pulled out my work colleagues from the 3 ft snow drift, they putzed along in their Saab. Drove slowly through Broomfield, stopped to help push a Saturn out of... well.. nothing, really. It just sat there in two inches of snow. The worst was in my own neighborhood - 20" throughout, cars stuck across the road trying to get into driveways. Helped push one in, then drove through the snow like there is nothing. God bless my CTD Dodge! This truck is awesome!
Later, drove to pick up the kid from work. Nothing but trucks and SUVs are on the road, some cruising looking to help people. Lots of abandoned cars, some are in ditches that I would not want to try pulling them out of! Not unless I am in an Abrams tank, that is
Stay safe in the blizzard! Take your chains with you. And some hot coffe for those freezing poor soles with stuck cars.

While elk hunting I pulled a 1st Gen Cummins 2WD out of a ditch and then up to the top of the ice covered hill. It was so slick that I could barely walk on it while chaining up to the 1st Gen, but my truck never spun a tire. Everyone watching was impressed with how the truck performed.
No snow here, but plenty of mud. My statment to who ever I'm pulling out is usually, "Better put your seatbelt on!!" Not even on the topic of bragging about my Dodge, I like to help people out. Most try to pay me something, but I always refuse. Tell them to just pass it on!
I am up here in northern Colorado and helped a friend pull his Nissan out of a drift. One of the other guys tried first with his Jeep, but it just sat there with all four tires spinning. So I decided to give it a try, hooked up the chain and I started to move the car before I really had to use the go pedal. I was amazed on how easy it was for the truck. The funniest part was the driver of the Nissan was spinning his tires the whole time as if he was "helping" me pull his car out!!
Back in Sept I was leaving the county fair and this 20 yr old guy who I know met me and said he needed a favor. He had pulled off in the ditch in his 2 wl drive cheby truck and wanted me to winch him out. Rear end was on the ground, but didn't look too bad. I told him I would try to pull him out first. He said "that ain't gonna work". Now I was on pavement, but I put it in 4 lo and got the chain tight. When I took my foot off the brake to put on the go pedal he came out without me giving any fuel.
I said "boy I thought you was stuck".
He ain't lived that one down yet.
