Protecting your kids

My boss sent me this link. I thought I'd share it with you all. Don't be a bystander.

People nowadays don't want to "get involved." It does take a lot to take action. In some instances people freeze or just can't think. Some, people think problems will either go away or solve themselves. I would never forgive myself if I saw something like in that video and it was real and I did nothing. I like those new hilton commercials that tell people to "be hospitible". Basically the same concept.

That bugger would be eating through a straw, and breathing through a tube. I have absolutely no consideration for people who would mess with a child. I would have never thought people would walk past and not even attempt to help that little girl. **** that is irritating to say the least. What would these people do if it were their daughter or son in need of help?? They would be crying nobody helped little Susie or Johnny. When did America turn into the land of the sissie??

Mine taught me the same thing when I was little. Now I just go for the throat.

I don't know what I'd do in this situation. It's hard to tell. I mean there are SO many kids that misbehave and say things like this how do you know if it's for real. And if that person is that kid's real parents and you try to say something then you might end up with a fighting mad parent on your hands and in this day in age a law suit. Who knows. I guess if my gut told me that something wasn't right I'd step in and at least figure out what's going on and try and get some ID from the supposed parent and see if he knows the kids name. If they couldn't produce either then we'd all have a nice lovely chat until the police showed up.

had i not known what was going on, i woulda just thought she was being a little brat, like when a child tells their parent they hate them. if i had known, on the other hand, HE would be the one saying, no! stop! someone help!
EDIT: just read what tyler wrote in the last post, and i completely agree w/ him except there wouldnt be much "chat"ing.

I think that's the biggest thing these days. People are so scared of being sued over any little thing that they are afraid to take a risk and do something that might end up saving a child's life.

I saw that when it ran. It's really scary that most people won't get involved when something like this really happens. I will say this though, when the two black guys and the other guy bailed out of his car, they were ready to kick butt!

I've thought about that and I think that you can get away with it. If you killed ALL the lawyers you would no longer have equal representation under the law. No representation.... no case.

The only time people get involved is when they know the camera is there. Pretty sad.

The kid was saying " you're not my dad". But the guy very well could have been a stepdad or uncle etc. I've seen kids act like that in public. I can't believe that people just walked by without at least watching to see what was up or to at least ask the girl if she knew the man. High 5 to the guys that actually did something.

It sickens me that grown men would just walk past this not willing to help out a child. How could you look in the mirror knowing you should have stepped in and helped? With the pedophiles and murderers running around today I would not hesitate to get involved, every child needs a guardian angel for when things head south. And I can and will kick the snot out of someone hurting a kid, I can back up what I speak. This just totally angers me in today's society.
