Pronunciation ???
Pronunciation ???
Hi all,
I've just got a quick question for you all. While talking with several people around here about diesel performance, and talking about Schieds, we've got two different ways of saying their name. The way I say it is Sheeds. The way everyone else says it is Shides. Wich one is correct? I'd hate to be saying it wrong all the time.
Thanks, *****

One pronunciation that always gets on my nerves.
Por-sha versus porsh.
Which would be correct, being that Porsche is a both a German name and a German company (originally at least)
(hmmm, maybe I'll start a poll)https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=108985

Yes it does!!! You were right on the first one......in German that is. It's pronounced Vaak holtz...........but here in the states we pronounce it as Wa Holtz.........the "C" is silent. NOBODY can get it right on the first try........it's so funny with telemarketers
