Price You Pay For Oil?

Shell Rotella is at 6.29 Gal Delvac is at 4.99 Gal Farm & Fleet stores, till 1/30/05 I do not know what Valvoline is selling for. The last time Rotella was on sale, I bought 20 gallons, enough for 3 years of oil changes in my truck. Also, what is the pro- and- con on STP oil filtres # S3976 ?

The Rotella is about the same at Wal-mart and Tractor Supply Store. The synthetic Rotella is about $12 gal. at Wal-mart, next oil change I'm going to it and 6 month changes. The STP filters are cheaper, low quality filters. Cummins recomends Fleetguard, Mopar and Purolator, atleast the last I heard. The Cummins site warned about the paper elements disintigrating in cheaper filters.

I bought oil during my lunch break today and Mobil 1300 Delvac was $5.88 per gallon. Rotella T Synthetic was $12.94 per gallon. I didn't notice what dino Rotella cost and they were out of Delo 400 so I didn't notice that one either. This was at Walmart.

I'm still looking for someone who carries the Mobil 1 Truck & SUV. I'd like to give it a try if it's less than $20 a gallon.

Sam's Wholesale has a 6 Gal. case of Rotella for $36.00. Not too bad. Usually where I buy mine.

$7.40 a gallon for Delo 400 at the local oil distributor. I'm going to start buying it from Walmart, I saw it for $6.50 a gallon I believe it was.
