Powerwagon

wHAT A LET DOWN. HAVE BEEN PATIENTLY WAITING FOR THE CONCEPT POWERWAGON TO COME ON LINE WITH A CD .
THE 05 POWERWAGON HAS THE SAME STALE "NEWSTYLE" STYLING AND APPEARS IS ONLY BEING OFFERED IN THE HEMI AND THE 10 CYLINDER GAS.
MUST BE THEY ARE AFRAID THEY MIGHT BUILD SOMETHING THAT WOULD PUT THEM IN FRONT OF THE CHEBY AND FURD

If a company makes a good product, then you might scare the other guys into making an even better truck, and then you have to make an even better truck, and in the end you are just spending extra R&D money anyways.

So, why make something new and/or good?

I was really hopeing for the concept truck design. If they were to put that design into production with the hemi and the cummins they would be dealing with backorders like they were when they introduced the 1994 and like they were with the Cruiser.
Hard to understand their logic (or lack of it)

Just think what would happen if they were to offer the 69 roadrunner again for a year.

The V-10 is no longer available in the HD trucks... of course you can get a Viper disguised as a truck in the SRT-10.

I had already viewed this link. This power wagon is styled like the others. they had a concept power wagon they debuted at several auto shows but i cannot find pictures of it right now. that is the one i was saving my money for, i would buy one of those the day they became available.

im a dodge guy when it comes to the HD trucks...but that SRT-10 is a joke, this comes from my back ground as a former ford lightning owner...

it has 2 more cylinders, and 180 more hp...and yet only runs the 1/4 mile about .2 seconds faster than the lightning...and it only has a top speed of 7 mph more than the lightning...the Lightning could go faster if you removed the speed limiter, but its electronically limited to 147...where as the SRT-10 topped out at 154

sorry for the rant, but please save your $55k if you think about buying an SRT-10

Herb i know what truck your talking about it was totally different looking vehicle it had wide fenders and a step side bed. it looks like they pulled the same stuff ford did with the tonka truck like the one in the toby keith video. even i wanted one of those fords after seeing it at the auto show a few years ago, but once it hit production this year it looks the same as the 04 except with a square grille. the auto makers get eveyone excited about these new concept vehicles and by the time the hit production they look nothing like the concept vehicle

That concept was sweet. Too bad they didn't use that design as the 3rd Gen Heavy Duty. I'd have bought one in a heartbeat. I think they'd sell more Dakotas, too, if it looked more like the M80 concept than the butt-ugly mini-vanesque Durango.
