Morning all.
TODAY IN HISTORY, SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 27th:
1779 - The College of Pennsylvania became the University of Pennsylvania. It was the first legally recognized university in America.
1901 - The Army War College was established in Washington, DC.
1963 - U.S. President Lyndon B. Johnson delivered his first address to a joint session of Congress.
1970 - Pope Paul VI, visiting the Philippines, was attacked at the Manila airport by a Bolivian painter disguised as a priest.
1973 - The U.S. Senate voted to confirm Gerald R. Ford as vice president after the resignation of Spiro T. Agnew.
1989 - 107 people were killed when a bomb destroyed a Colombian jetliner minutes after the plane had taken off from Bogota's international airport. Police blamed the incident on drug traffickers.
Slow day in history.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
People's opinions are like passing gas; Hard to hold in, when one slips out everyone's going to know it and at least one person is going to leave the room.
Coffee is ready. Ph00 too for those of y00 that can't handle the coffee!
yup, worth it to pace yourselves/share the leftovers...enjoy more a few days past. ahhhhhhhh! left the cherry dessert to hubby (his family specialty) and son.
house fun with all the noise(guitar game till 9PM , then they went their respective ways) had an older chocolate lab- BOY! did she react when they went out with guns during the afternoon!! what instinct!! running, barking, whimpering, all excited, tried to climb the fence to go with them! none of us ever saw that reaction. she is usually snoozing at 5AM when they go out.
so house all peaceful, lot of cleanup though. 15 year old dryer making noises
had hazelnut coffee, eggs, wheat toast and blueberries.
Sean, ignore the grumpy janitor (admin got to his head). keep posting sausage man!
MATT! and tim, back to the grind.....
Madhat still gonna do that mud run in January? do we need to set up a pain fund?

Morning all. Ya know, there are good and bad things that come with living in the shadow of the Rockies. Today is one of those 'mixed blessing' days. We have a chinook blowing through. For those who don't know what a chinook is, it is a warm strong wind that comes over the mountains. You can go from -40F to +60F in a few hours. The warmth is nice but the wind can be a little extreme. It was only 15F when I went to bed last night but it is 50F this morning. The mixed blessing part is that the wind is going to be between 60mph and 100mphfor the next 24 to 36 hours.
I will likely go for a quad ride later and enjoy the unseasonably warm weather but there is work to do first. Amusing that JWBM called me sausage man because that is the job this morning. We have a small batch of super lean chicken sausage to make. We have to make a big batch some time in the next couple of weeks as there is a long list of family and friends (even one friend here on the board) who would like to partake of this super healthy sausage. Next week is likely a kielbasa weekend, I just need to get my hands on 4 or 5 pork bellies. Hmmmm, might have to make a couple of sides of bacon next week too.
First cup of coffe has gone past the tonsils, time to make breakkie for wife and I and then get on with the day. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving weekend.

60 and sunny yesterday, 40 and windswept rain today. Better than snow I guess.
