Post Count Poll

Too many people put too much stake in post count, so I thought a poll was in order. Vote NOW.

Hoss, I know we have some who have fun with their post counts, but honestly they are usefull.
Quite frankly, When I ask for help or advise, i look at the post count of those responding in determining who's advise to follow. It is certainly not a scientific practise, but I figure the longer someone has been hanging around here, perhaps the more they have learned and heard.....
So despite the games, I would vote to leave them alone......

I'd be more willing to listen to someone that has 2000 posts over somebody that has 50.

i say make it so they are only visible when you view someones profile, it makes it a little less rewarding for those who solely want to have alot of posts (and no im not singling out Blue with his 10k LOL)

sometimes i think people only post short uninformed answers, or irrelevant comments just to have another post.

They don't really mean that much to me. I look at them on occasion when I see a dumb question and see that, yip, 2 posts. Then I remember how I was a year ago! Anyway, Leave 'em. Who cares? If you don't want to see 'em, don't look up and to the left. They are just like a hot chick when I'm playing guitar on stage....if I don't look anywhere in her vacinity, my wife won't kick me in the goobers after the show. If you don't like black smoke, stay off my tailgate. If you don't like the way I drive, stay off the sidewalk. Etc. Etc. Etc.

If you hang out here long enough, you figure out who to beleive and who is blowing hot exhaust gas pretty quick without looking 'up and to the left'.

Hey, I just boosted my post count by 1!

I don't know about evrybody else but I'm not a member here for the post count. I had problems with my truck so I got on the internet one night to try and find some answers and found this sight with alot of the answers I needed. They are alot of members here with anywhere from 2 to 1500 posts that has as much or the same knowledge as someone with 6000, 7000 or even 10,000 posts, so having said that I don't care leave um take um doesn't matter not what I'm here for, just my 2cents.

The only reason I look at them is to see if the question being asked is by someone that has been around the site and should know already, or someone who is new and may not know any better. Me personally i don't care how many I have......it's a stupid number.......but it is kinda nice knowing if someone is a regular on here or a newbie.

Sound of pin dropping...
