DTR's Locomotive Superhero and the DTR Sweet Tea Specialist
I did not vote on the poll since I am only 17 and I see no option for it. It will be a few years before I have another CTD, trying to save for college next fall. I am trying to get a job doing journeyman work on diesel and heavy equipment to supplement my Diploma from college for Diesel Hydraulic Tech.

Try your Local Operating Engineers Union. The one by me has accepts applications for service technician apprenticeships every now and then. I have several friends that are Operators and a few of them are diesel mechanics for companies. I am currently in the last yr of an apprenticeship with the International Assoc. of Machinist and Areospace workers Union. I hold a position as a diesel locomotive machinist. Soon i'll be a Journeyman. Good luck, and hope you can get a CTD soon too!

I'm always amazed by the # of younger members! Our club (N.Texas DTR) runs from 19 to 60+.... but average is probably well under 30. Being over 50 it's great to have something in common with these young 'flat bellies'. 99% of them are gentlemen that were obviously raised right!
Nice to see the rebellion stage, that my generation seemed to have to go through, has pretty much died out. The 60's were fun... but in many ways.... also a waste of time.
BUT, I do suspect any internet poll data will be skewed by the fact that the younger you are, the more likely you are to be on line and to reply. JMO.

21 here and pay for my truck and all the mods on my own...no mommy and daddy money here unless its a birthday or christmas gift!
but i guess since my truck isnt paid off and i still live at home (paying to live there) instead of owning my own house outright that it makes some people better than myself

Older than most of you
I am 63. I see I am not the oldest, but I bet I am the oldest that is driving a straight stick. I have always had the idea that when I let out the clutch something is going to move. My other Dodge truck is an unrestored 72 which is a lot older than most in this pol. I can remeber the younger years and I am glad to see so many are making it.

Been doing the FWD MOPAR thing for years. had a Turbo caravan among others. Current one is an 83 Rampage. Rampage has had a carbed 2.2, 2.5 TBI, & 2.2 T1 all with 5 speed. The current combo in it is a mildly warmed 3.0 & A604.
