Pics of duallies with caps.

I'm contemplating this but I want to see what kind of caps looks best. I really prefer a high topper. I have a regular one but it's the wrong color and I will have to sand it down and then paint it. I don't want to go through the hassle only to not like it in the end..
So, let's see some pictures....

I don't know what it was about your truck Britt, but I never liked caps (can't pull a CN) or red trucks. But I always liked yours. A lot. And it's making me want to get new crossbars for the Yakima rack in my closet and put it on the truck... I've got a longbed and still have to pull stuff out to put the bikes in the bed.

That is nice. The cap I have has lots of window on the sides too but it has a couple inches of fiberglass at the front too. Other than that it is very similar to the one pictured. I also need a new rear window for it and the mfr wants around $600 for a replacement. I can get one made out of Lexan for $175.00 and then put all the hardware from the broken one on it but I also don't have a key for the lock. It looks like it has an auto opener but I don't have a controller for that either.
I don't know, I may just get a new one. I just don't want to shell out hundreds of dollars only to be unhappy with the finished product and then go out and buy a new one anyways....

Here's our 98.

I don't really care for caps either, but we need one for all the crap we carry around that can't get wet.

I had one on my 98 dually (Same exact truck as yours Chaikwa)and I was always taking it off and putting it back on. It was nice having the option...
I think I'm going to start sanding mine down to get it ready to paint. I am way too tight to get it painted at a paint shop so I will be doing it with spray cans. Fortunately I can get Dodge Bright White paint at just about every auto parts store around. I hope it looks good when I'm done. Can you get clearcoat in a spraycan too?

Mike, the window latch was intended to be wired to unlock with the key fob. Thats the way it worked as long as I knew its history with the previous owner. I never had a key for it.

Thanks Iker. I actually had the blue one on the truck for a couple of days so I know what it looks like. It just looks completely different when it's a different color. The cap actually works well with the lines of the truck. I like it. It would be awesome if I could just hit the key fob and the latch would automatically lock or unlock. Unfortunately I know it will not work like that without some work. I think I'm just going to fab up a whole new window and latch system as it looks like a pain to switch the old stuff over to the new window...
