Personal land use restrictions?

This county just went thru a vote approved by the Co supervisors which banned the use of motocross type vehicles on Ag land. Basically what happened a land owner was allowing people/friends to ride on his property which was far from any others who might be annoyed by it. They shut him down for reasons of possible irrosion and enviromental issues.I can gaurantee you they would allow him to sell the property and build 100 homes at 1 million a piece. For motorcycle use to continue he must pay huge amounts of $$$$ and wait for months if not years to be approved. Obviously Kalif has its problems, is every state this telling what you can and cant do on your OWN land. This aint right IMO This was one or the few places where kids could go do something healthy with themselfs, Guess they would rather see them in gangs and hanging out on the streets.

They shut one down here a year ago.
Seems that running a "busisness" (Charging folks to access your property to ride) goes against their better judgement.
(because they're not getting any tax money from your business income, no permit fees, etc.)

just another example of us not really owning our land, the gov owns it all, we pay rent to them for it, they call it taxes and think we don't know better.

And they're right too, because we all keep doing it.

There was a guy who bought two HUGE lots and set it aside just for us kids to go and play on and ride 4 wheelers and mud our trucks and stuff. Well, a couple of dumb butts went out there drunk, flipped their truck, and were life flighted out. The parents sued the man saying it was his fault. He had to sell the place and now they are building on it. It ticked me off. That was the last legal place to go back home and now it's gone cause of some idiots. The day that Texas tells me that I can't do what I want to on my land that I bought with my hard earned money and that I put my own blood, sweat, and tears in to is the day I sit on my front porch with a rifle saying make me. It's my land and I'll do what I dang well please.

What about this whole "right away thing"? That law that says that if the government wants your land, they can take it and you can't say a darn word about it. I'll be a monkey's uncle if they ever try and do that to my land. I love this nation but sometimes I wonder what in the world we are thinking.

Get a Load of this. Where I live in Washington State they just passed a law in King county that you can only use 35% of your land the rest has to be untouched no building or farming nothing. Although if your a developer you can buy the land and develop 100% of the property what a crock huh I'm glad I live in pierce I have 14 acre's

Grassroots Americanist party, anybody? Get a new political party going on, with an agenda to protect American's freedoms above all else, and protect our complete freedom and rights from any other country on the planet.
Our government needs a revolution. It's just getting to big.

Begle1, sounds great. I'm in. But your gonna have a hard time convincing the rest of the country. Some people are to scared or close minded. Then there's california (no offense to the guys on this board who live there, but yall got some messed up stuff going on over there). Some people like it the way it is. There's such a small percentage of us I don't even think the government would listen. But by god, if you get this party started, you give me a hollar and I'll be in the front row marching with ya.

Unfortunatly some people are like sheep that cant or wont think for themselves. Its easier if Big bro just tells how its gonna be. Anyone see second hand lions? got a kick out of it every time showed up at their property. Duval played a good part there.

oh man here in wiscionsin, a law was passed that any atv's being operated on any land public OR private must meet a 96db limit on exhaust. That includes CLOSED COURSE RACING!!! But the bikes can be as loud as they want. I raced the 2004 wisconsin quad series and every single quad there has loud pipes. Now i dont mind being quiet, actually prefer it but come on get a brain. We have lost racetracks around on a regular basis and for the most retarted reasons i have ever heard. I have raced for 5 years and ridden for my whole life. But there are morons out there that will do stupid stuff and ruin it for everyone. I know alot of you on here ride or own atv's and dirt bikes so listen up, evertime you ride 1. where a helmet, we dont need more statistics. 2. take your garbage with you. 3keep the niose levels down if you can, thats the biggest reason we lose places to ride, offroad our trucks or just plain go have fun.

I'm there man! Grassroots Americanists unite! There are over 10,000 people on this board. Even if only a couple thousand get together and voice their views, that's still a significant number. I'm sure a bunch of the older generations would jump all over it too.

We can't let our country turn into a college educated coffee shop! Not that there's anything wrong w/ colleges or coffee shops...just something wrong w/ city people who vote on country folk issues. They have no clue.

I agree. It really pisses me off also beacuse our Co surpervisor is from another country and Is proud to tell you when He`s "going home". Hey if this place aint your home or you dont consider it to be than dont come back. Leave you ideas in the third world country you call home, Im sure they will get a laugh out of them. And there is something wrong with coffe shops around here. There full of women with hairy armpits and legs and freakin dreadlocks stuffed under their rainbow colored knit caps, they smell, and wear ugly glasses.
