There is no peanut butter available over here. Not only peter pan brand, just about any edible sort.
The only peanut butter we can get is in an African specialty store. African cuisine uses a very bitter and aromatic kind of peanut butter to roast meat in it, or as a kind of spice for sauces.
If you'd try to eat it pure, like on a bread, you'd choke. It's really very bitter. In the african cuisine you use about 1 tablespoon for about half a gallon of rice sauce- and it will have the typical dominant and slightly bitter taste..
Hmmm on your recipe- Could you describe graham crackers and the hershey chocolate bar (Is this something like Milky Way?)- maybe I can get a substitute. Marshmallows aren't available.

No graham crackers, no hersheys, no marshmallows, no peanut butter what the heck. To substitute graham crackers and herseys (is a 1/8 inch thick, 2 inch x6 inch or so slab of milk chocolate, you can get it with nuts and sometimes you can find it in dark chocolate) you might try a rittersport brand or whatever that name is try using the one that is a biscuit covered in chocolate Then you have something close to the graham cracker and herseys in one. The biscuit isn't quite the same as a graham cracker but it is in the ballpark. Something that is a popular camping pastime here is making "smores". Get a graham cracker break in half, roast a marshmallow over your fire, slap it on the cracker with a piece of chocolate (heated is better), slap on some peanut butter if desired top it with the other half of the graham cracker. Pretty tasty. Have your kids eat a couple of those and can you say sugar high.

Man, I feel bad for this guy. We should all chip in and send him a care package of all this good stuff! Maybe thats why so much of america is obese

If you need anything Alpine, let me know and I'd be more than happy to ship you some of these goodies. I feel bad because no kid should be deprived of this stuff!

I wonder what it would cost to ship this stuff to him

I don't know if it'd work but I'd be willing to try using my FedEx (EX) employee discount. It's 75% OFF retail! Probably not more than a few bucks to send something all the way over there.

I'm in. But I don't want to be held responsible is the kid becomes one of those 150LB 5 year olds after we introduce him to the highest quality American junk foods. Oreos, what about CRUNCHY peanut butter Reeses cups, HO HO's, oh the list just goes on......

Would it just be easier to just send money or paypal njoverkill instead of shipping it from everyones houses to his house?

Hehe, nice ideas!

But Peter is this type of guy: His parents go out to the ice cream parlour with him and some other families. All the other kids eat ice cream. He wants a green salad, sausages etc!
He won't even eat a bread with honey- much too sweet.
Beware if you've got some salad and a steak and he is in the vicinity!
He's the lean and mean 3.5year 35lbs of energy type kid.
Anyways thanks a bundle !

Take it from someone that knows. It would be easier and cheaper if Markus could just send the kid over here. We could all take turns filling him up with junk food then ship him back home.

I think that he would object to being sent by DHL
The main danger would be that he wouldn't want to come back since he is a fan of big cars
Another problem is that the shipping to the US could still be reasonably priced... but after some dozen members force-feeding him I think that the return shipping costs could be a little steep

Send him on over here. Be sure to duct tape the box, don’t want him to get loose before he gets here. If he is any thing like my grandsons maybe you should zip tie and duct tap him also. You have seen my grandkids. I can’t get in the truck without them and there is room for one more. By the time he comes home he will weigh 30 pounds more than now and will be singing six days on the road (old trucking song).

What Markus really needs to get in the mail is a bunch of Krispy Kreme Original glazed doughnuts I know a bunch of you on this board have probably never had the opportunity to delight in these little round pieces of hedonism for the mouth - but once you do..........

For those of you that think Dunkin Donuts are good, you need to try a Krispy Kreme of any variety. Last thing I heard was that it was the fastest growing specialty food chain in the country and they were talking about putting regional distribution centers in Denver and Springfield, Ill. That means tht a bunch more of you are closer to being converted to this Southern comfort food. Of course, the real trick is to hit the bakery/store when the "Hot Doughnuts Now" sign is on and get them right off of the production line and settle in with

Markus - PM me with your address and I will send some Airborne to you (I get a 50% corporate discount). I will even wait until 9 PM to get them to Airborne so they will be as fresh as possible when they get there.

Look out, Markus! You'll get hooked on these! Then you'll have to pick the family up and move over here......

Pass the hat for bigger clothes for Marcus and his family. After the goodies arrive, watch out!

Marcus--If you want, give me a PM with your info and I'll see what I can do also.

well, I do really appreciate all the offers for sending goodies.
Living over here has the serious disadvantage that even if you do pay for express shipping the stuff will still take two weeks to reach the US destination.
Commatoze- I'd like to come over to the US- but I'd need some perspective on how to earn the money to be able to buy all the doughnuts, peanut butter, crispy thisses and creamy thats, and the new bigger and bigger clothes I'd need to keep my increasing amount of body covered

Sorry that it did take me so long to reply, but I'm in a bit of a tight situation right now...
