PC Software for Cleaning Files; Drivers; etc.

I'm looking for some software that I can use to clean up my pc hard disk. I have Windows XP Professional SP2 installed. I also have Norton SystemWorks and Norton Internet Security among other software. I just installed a new video card but was unable to get rid all of the previous drivers though the Windows Control Panel. So, the new card is not functioning as it should. I need something that will remove drivers; dll files and other stuff. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations? I've been to the PC World and PC Magazine websites and really didn't find anything that was appealing. Lot's of the shareware stuff is available but most of it is not highly regarded according to the user ratings posted by the mag sites.

I like the Norton 360 myself..it does it all, network protection, spyware, av and registry cleanup. If you catch it on sale after turkey day it is only $30 and is good for 3 machines.
Here is a link to a site for free downloads and reviews of software / hardware..

heres one that should help, specifically for removing old drivers stuff.... http://www.softpedia.com/get/Securit...-Cleaner.shtml
most often the biggest trouble is goin from nvidia based cards to ati based cards....... good luck and let us know how you do, ps I do suggest using ccleaner as well often to get rid of junk and keep the registry clean.

What do you mean by not functioning as it should.

Add/remove programs on the old cards software package and install the newest on the new card from the website should be all you need to do.

Trying to manually clean up drivers and dll's is for windows 95'ers.

You can also run WinDoctor since you have Systemworks, that will clean up a lot of nasties.I would not worry about the old drivers too much as they do not load if the hardware is not detected at boot time.
