paint ?
paint ?
back in the spring i took my Ferd to new mexico to store at my bro's house. Whilt it was there I was charging the batteried on it and pulled the hood down but did not latchit as the charger was still there. Well the wind blew my hood up locking the hinges. my sister-in-law saw it up and tried to close it. Well with the hinges locked it obviosly didn't want to come down so she puled down pretty hard to try and shut it. Well needless to say it bowed the hood right at where the hinges bolt on.
Two questions 1) Can the hood be straightened, it is a small bow about 1/4" between hood and fender line 2) Has anyone had anyhting painted by maaco. If i have to buy a new one I am going to have them paint it, as my mother knows the guy there. I am also worried about martching since it is a 96 but it has been waxed 3-4 times a year plus spray wax everytime it was washed at least once a week. Really need some help on this guys my truck was in great condition until this happened and am just sick to death over it. I am a little ocd when it comes to my stuff(lol) and i don't do dents, dings or scratched well
Thanks

ive never seen a hood fixed right after something like that happens...
and maaco does do good paint jobs.......you jsut have to pay more for them. the 400 dollar jobs they advertise are pretty crappy. they are good enough to paint somethign if you are tryin to sell it( if you feel like kinda screwin somebody over) but the more you pay the better it comes out
