Nope a SRW, but the load looked pretty much balanced on the trailer wheels.

The man who dug my septic field pulled a full size Back Hoe (4 wd, enclosed cab, extenda hoe, turbo diesel) on a goose neck trailer using a W250 w/ auto trans. The bed was full of junk (everything looked heavy...lots of liquids, chains tools etc,,).....He claimed he can pull w/ no problems at all.....I'd have to say it was way too heavy if you go by factory recommendations ( My owners manual says an automatic w250 w/ factory super duty cooler and gave a GCWR (that is total of all weight truck and trailer) of 14000 lbs.....Figure the truck w/ full tanks and me and a few tools may weigh about 7000, that would leave a factory max towed amout
(trailer plus whatever is on the trailer) of 7,000 lbs.....A friend of mine says that a full size Backhoe alone averages about 14000 lbs....So yes, technically overloaded but our trucks are tough huh?.....I just hope his trailer brakes never go out or he never blows a tire.

We pulled our 20k LB 450C track loader with my uncles 97 3500 4x4 ext cab dually automatic on a pentle hitch trailer. It was a HECK of a load, but we didnt have to go far. I wasnt riding or driving the truck, but im sure it knew it was back there . It cracked the reese hitch, and we had to weld it back.

A backhoe shouldn't be that hard to pull. I think a big one w/cab, 4x4, turbo diesel weight about 15900lbs +6000lb trailer your just talking 21900lbs. W/ truck 28900lbs. I pulled these weights and more for alot of miles with my 2500 never had any trouble, but these people that say "you can't tell it's back there" are full of it! You know it's back there. I always wondered why they put a granny low in these until I had to run low gear for a 100 yds. or farther before getting in to 2nd! Haulin pulls in excess of 30000lbs. also just about everyday.
