lately, I have been on forums regarding some of my other interests and have noticed something.
This forum and a frontier forum are the only two that seem to have normal people.
Example, one shooting forum has a thread on vehicles. the majority of the cars are either classics that have been restored or custom tuners.
Another pistol forum, the knife thread will have a dozen custom knives that look like they have never been out of the sheath other than for a picture.

I just wanna say thanks for being normal.

not a whole lot of trailer queen trucks here.
tools get used here compared to some of the other forums where they are collected. not to mention it seems some of the other forum members have an insane amount of money.

Try a Football (Sport) forum. I admin a Steelers forum, woohoo talk about some mental people.

I would have to agree.. This forum is probably one of the best for all around reality. We all come on here and talk about anything from building fences to caring for their pets to venting about some personal issues. Such a wide variety of people here too in all different careers.

Now about being normal, thats all perception!

 

Yeah. I said this once, and got so much crap for saying it, but this is a grown up forum. Even the younger guys on here are grown up. It is a down to earth place.

As for the meet and greet comment, we're here at NC 18 now, and me, Rick, Lary, Dennis, and John P are all here together, and there is nothing normal about any of us...

I will take the precaution of keeping some bail money handy so if ya’ll get into any real trouble, give me a call.

 

Definately a good bunch here. Would be cool for us to have an annual get-together for all the regulars to come be "sane & normal" in person for a day or two .... say, in Vegas ??? Jack's got deep pockets ... might even be able to cover the whole thing for us .


I have tried to find other places on line that compare to this place ... just doesn't seem to be any.

I think know what you mean. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that many of the people on here use a truck as a tool, so you have a lot of ranchers, farmers, tradesmen, etc. They might have gone a little off the deep end when it comes to a Dodge diesel, but these are practical minded fellows who have lives outside the internet. They provide a balance to some of the other folks on here - and I consider myself to be one of the internet freaks they are balancing out.
