Too good to be true type thing. If you think it's stolen then I'd avoid it.

I've had those guys pull up to me in a parking lot once and try to sell me stolen stereo equipment. Said they were installers and had an extra set up left over, BS... They should have gave it back to their company.

Either stolen or broken.

We are not going to give these people any "exposure" here unless they pay Lary Ellis (Top) as being DTR Advertisers. Please do not post anymore links to their ads. Thanks.

Buying a mattress out of the back of a truck?!?!? That's just grim.

Maybe it's just slightly used

On a more serious note:

Over here you can be punished (up to 5 years) for even buying goods where you have to think that they were stolen.

Anything like this in the states?

Aside from advertising. Just a cliffs notes on the ads, they are selling furniture for about 1/10 the price you'd find it at at a store. Something is up.. either stolen or they're going under and running goods out the back door ala Mob style.

Alpine,

Yes same thing. You buy stolen goods you get the hammer like the theif does.

If it bugs ya...

contact the local district attorney for an investigation. you hav eto actually write a letter askign them to investigate. now , with that being done. you can send a copy of your request to the state tax authority and have them investigate the tax issues on the goods and where they came from.

or did you just want to be one of the bed models......

snicker snicker

that just happened to me the other day while getting fuel. he immediately got into my personal space. i told him to get on the other side of the truck right now and ill deal with him in a min. i grabbed the glock from the truck and concealed it and told them i didnt want anything they had to sell. he was persistent on following me to the atm so i could get cash. i told him to bark up another tree...theres been alot of car jackings and thefts lately and when he got into my space i was on gaurd. im not playing their games

Yep, at a gas station is where it happened to me too, on the south side of Houston.

I generally keep a .380 within reach when filling up.
