Mornin' all!
2" of snow this AM but it's 40* already so it won't last. Just a short delT in the final melt. Made the highway crappy though......
Gotta do a few chores this AM then a bit of play thisafternoon.
Cincy- horrible song..... Go back to the badger or llama.

Actually yes. We sort of got snowed in and a new neighbor talked me into plowing him out. He swore there was nothing in the area where he wanted the snow put. Nothing but a three foot high tree stump. Thats the second time I have had somebody do that to me (last time it was an 8in well head). Not sure who's stupider, them or me for doing it. Luckily no welding this time and I did find springs in Soldotna (25 bucks a piece).
We do a lot of online shopping but when you need the parts today it can get frustrating. Plus--I had to plow for the UPS truck to get here to deliver the plow parts so I could plow for the UPS truck to.....
.
Nothings worse than the badger song and dont ever bring it up again!!!

Hmmm. Late at night. Nobody around. Whats a guy to do. Ooohhh, the janitor will really appreciate this- ha ha ha ha aaakkkkk! Crud. Should have left the lights on

Morning all.
It is Saturday, April 9th.
On this day in 1682 - Robert La Salle claimed the lower Mississippi River and all lands that touch it for France.
1833 - Peterborough, NH, opened the first municipally supported public library in the United States.
1865 - At Appomattox Court House, Virginia, General Robert E. Lee surrendered his Confederate Army to Union General Ulysses S. Grant in the parlor of William McClean's home. Grant allowed Rebel officers to keep their sidearms and permitted soldiers to keep their horses and mules. Though there were still Confederate armies in the field, the war was officially over. The four years of fighting had killed 360,000 Union troops and 260,000 Confederate troops.
1866 - The Civil Rights Bill passed over U.S. President Andrew Johnson's veto.
1867 - The U.S. Senate ratified the treaty with Russia that purchased the territory of Alaska by one vote.
1916 - The German army launched it’s third offensive during the Battle of Verdun.
1917 - The Battle of Arras began as Canadian troops began a massive assault on Vimy Ridge.
1940 - Germany invaded Norway and Denmark.
1942 - In the Battle of Bataan, American and Filipino forces were overwhelmed by the Japanese Army.
1963 - Winston Churchill became the first honorary U.S. citizen.
1968 - Murdered civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., was buried.
1976 - The U.S. and Russia agreed on the size of nuclear tests for peaceful use.
1981 - The U.S. Submarine George Washington struck and sunk a small Japanese freighter in the East China Sea. The Nissho Maru's captain and first mate died.
1983 - The space shuttle Challenger concluded it first flight.
1986 - It was announced that Patrick Duffy's character on the TV show Dallas would be returning after being killed off.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
If our planet is inhabited with creatures made by God...is it possible that there's another planet inhabited with creatures made by the Devil?
Special weekend blend coffee is ready!
