Heavy snow last night and this morning along with some good gusts up in the canyon. Poor visibility coming off the hill. Dumb people driving all over the road cause they cant find it.

Just got in from our breakfast on the beach. It was absolutely gorgeous out there - - about 75, cool breeze, sunshine, birds, great friends and way too much food. Nice. Watching the boats close to the shore pulling in some nice fish. Tough life.

OK, to work I go,

Evening DTR

Work was good today. Now speaking of work, I saw on the company TV's that broadcast company news and info, local and national news, weather, and sports, something that made me think of The Breakroom. Headline on the sports ticker read this today Hot Redlegs: Cincy (4-0) only unbeaten team in National League! too bad it wasn't spelled LEGGs! Co-worker heard me laugh and asked why, I told him it was something he wouln't want to understand!

Got the raised beds filled with soil today. Picked up a couple yards after work at the county compost site. They collect yard waste and compost it, once its ready they allow county residents to come get it for free.

Greetings. Our daughter woke up with bright red cheeks and spots all over her torso.
Took her to the doc again. She has a virus called Fifth Disease. Never heard of it before and it will not harm her. Google it if you are not sure what it is.
We thought she had the measles or chicken pox. She is no longer contagious and once the rash is gone she should be back to 100%.
She has or has had all the symptoms over the past few weeks. Poor little girl has been on a roller coaster of discomfort. It could have been worse had it been chicken pox of measles.

I cleaned the toilet seat on the phoo00 pot with pine sol and poured the rest in the pot.

Enjoy.

I had to look it up. Glad to hear she is going to be ok.

Morning,

Looks like I beat everyone out of bed this morning, wish I was still there, a combination of heart burn and the fact that its 75 degree in here has me awake.

Scotty - - I am sooo sorry to hear about little one - - she has had a time of it. Nasty - - squeeze her for Marian and me.

On a different note, to the same Canuck - - why is it he has to pick on the ph00 pot. Seems he has a fettish for a ph00 pot. Don't they have them up in the frozen north land? Leave the pot alone - - makes me have to come in and clean it, sanitize it, have the dragon lick it all clean and EWE dry it. Now, find something else to take out your frustrations on - - leave the ph00 pot alone.

OK, fresh ph00, coffee, home made Danish pastry and hot water for tea - - all on a freshly cleaned counter. I pushed all debris on the floor so do your part by shuffling your feet along the floor on your way out the door and push a strip of garbage outside. About ten people doing that and the floor will be clean again.

OK, I am out here with my ph00 - - YEH - - PH00 - - .............

I hope this is the end of it for her Scotty. She's been sick long enough!

No it won't. 10 leave and 20 come in. Hard to keep 'em away once they get a taste of the coffee!

Morning.

Today is Friday, April 8th.

On this day in 1789 - The U.S. House of Representatives held its first meeting.

1832 - About 300 American troops of the 6th Infantry left Jefferson Barracks, St. Louis, to confront the Sauk Indians in the Black Hawk War.

1913 - The Seventeenth amendment was ratified, requiring direct election of senators.

1935 - The Works Progress Administration was approved by the U.S. Congress.

1952 - U.S. President Truman seized steel mills to prevent a nationwide strike.

1953 - The bones of Sitting Bull were moved from North Dakota to South Dakota.

1962 - Bay of Pigs invaders got thirty years imprisonment in Cuba.

1986 - Clint Eastwood was elected mayor of Carmel, CA.

1994 - Smoking was banned in the Pentagon and all U.S. military bases.

2000 - 19 U.S. troops were killed when a Marine V22 Osprey crashed during a training mission in Arizona.

2001 - Microsoft Corp. released Internet Explorer 4.0.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Why is Grape Nuts cereal called that, when it contains neither grapes, nor nuts?

Sorry she 's been sick so long but it is good news that you at least know what's wrong now.

Because they like triva questions.

Morning. Been working on draining fluids out of my old Dodge dump truck so I can pull it across the scales. Kinda sad, it was the first piece of equipment I bought. Salvaged the PTO and hydraulic pump. The PTO looks like it may fit the 04. Wouldn't that be cool!

D 800, it was an old Air Force single axle tractor. I bought it already converted with a new 10 foot dump bed. I think the GVWR was around 33k. 413 truck/motorhome engine, NP 5 speed and an Eaton 2 speed rear.
