Sure, if the truck has an SAE bell housing you can even bolt one to the transmission, any junk yard can supply the SAE adaptor for the Cummins.

Good chance. I know the 727 IH used is a different bolt pattern on the B.H. than stock Dodge, but so is the Cummins. They may both use the Industrial bolt pattern. I think the hard part would be fitting an inner-cooler, but you don't necessarily need one. They did have inline sixes, as well as v-8's. Should be Dana 44 axles, Ford/jeep bolt pattern, Dodge matched too didn't it?

Oh we are talking 1/2 ton, I thought bigger. The International (not scout) used a v8 of 304 or 345 cubes. The engine was a takeoff of an Olds block and if I am not mistaken the bell is the same bolt pattern. While the Scout may have had Dana 44 the full sized pickups and surburban types were quite heave of a build. As was said, there was also an older straight six. These v8 trucks were hefty vehicles and would easily get 250 to 300k miles on them before rebuild. Thinking about it there was also a 200 something v8 on the same block.

Wow, you got me on that one. Looks to be late 40's or 50's but not sure. The fenders look home made, do not think thay are original. Grill looks cut off, like it was on a bigger truck. Just don't know. I have not seen door hinge mirrors like that since the early 50's. Mid 50's INternational trucks had a completely different cab, more rounded.

Not sure but maybe an old Ih or a Waukesha. I think that they made some trucks back in the late 40s and 50s.
