European football is gonna make me lose my mind !!

Everytime there is a game, literally everyone in town either has it on the tv or car radio and is out in the yard waving their flag, screaming at the top of their lungs like they've lost their minds or driving up and down the street honking their fool heads off ..... to call it "WHOOPIN' IT UP" would be an understatement !!

Even the littlest kids are rolling their tricycles all over with their little Germany flags, dingin' their bells and honkin' their horns as loud as they can .

It is times like these that I remember why I bought my farm WAAAAAYYY out in the country !!

At least tomorrow is Sunday and most of them will be quietly sitting in church .... and then I can enjoy a nice quiet .

If you reside there, you don't call it European Football, just Football will do.

Or, if you want to get it right, Fütball.

I've never gotten it, you play for a couple hours and only a couple points are scored?

What's fun though is watching American football there. They take out all the huddles, timeouts, etc so all you see are the plays run back-to-back. Really speeds up the game

 

Actually ... it's Fussball. Hey, don't look at me ... I didn't name it !!

Where I come from ... it is called soccer. Plain and simple.

Either the game is over now or everyone has drunk themselves into a coma,
because it's pretty peaceful out there now.

Yes, it´s a very peaceful world championship at the moment, police is doing everything right. And it´s called football over here, or Fussball if you live in Germany. You should see all the cars and homes wearing the German flag right now, patriotism is coming back to Germany after some decades. I like it, pretty good games either, today Sweden had to go home...haha...after we send Argentina home the semi finals are coming. Just can´t wait to become world champion again, we can do it with our team, it´s a young team and they are really on fire

Sad to see the US to be out of the game, but that´s just the way it is.

By the way, tickets for the finals are now selling for 5000+ Euros and climbing, crazy world...

 

Saw part of the big fight, Germans and Britts. Piston, did you get in the middle of theat?

 

Heck no ...... if my dog ain't in the fight, I don't get involved !! I was straining real hard to keep from STARTIN' something last night when all the young hooligans were howling at the top of their lungs outside my bedroom window .
When you get 5 teenagers all doing the "Gooooooaaaoooaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaoao aoaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaooaaaaaaaaaaaal llll " .....



As much as I would love to see the good ol' USA do well in this sport ... the honest truth is that we are just waaaaayyy outclassed and need to stick to the NFL version.

Watching some of these fussball players maneuver and massage the ball to make it do what they want is incredible.

What I don't get is every single kid in Canada plays soccer. So why can't we produce 12 of them that are any good?
