According to the article...."The charges carry a potential penalty of ten years in prison and up to $350,000 in fines. Sentencing is scheduled for February 27."
It doesn't say he's going to jail for 10 years and giving up ALL his money and possessions.
There's those darn facts again

My brother is a US Citizen too.
He loves it.
Most if not all Canadians that could go to the USA legally would be assets to the nation. The USA and Canaduh have their share of deadbeats and losers...we unfortunately elect them or put them on social programs.
We looked into him sponsoring me...it would take ten years to even get a permit to live there but not even be able to work legally.
The best way I can find is to set up a business that employs at least 6 US Citizens.
I think if I expanded my dealer network I could move in this.

I read in the paper today that there is a tax revolt that is building strength among the farmers. The farmers do have a big voice here if they would get together and stick together.
As for duel/dual citizenship...that is what my brother now has.
He was married to a gal from Canada that was hired for her specialty nursing skills and off they went to Houston. She was allowed to work, he was not but he got what I think he called...illegal I mean resident alien status...he got a SS number and it took 8 yrs from the time they went to Houston for him to get his citizenship there...it would now take longer as the rules have changed.

Now If they gave everyone in Alberta 2 votes to the 1 out east, we may see something change.. Till then I don't know what to do..
