But someone paid around $100,000 to have it built.

Saddest part about the OCC theme bikes, is that after they are presented to their new owners, I doubt that any of them are ridden again.
"Trailer Queens" or set up as a display in some corporate CEO's Taj Mahal..

The military does have a diesel motorcycle. I think it's a kawasaki. Pretty cool. I used to have a link to it. I'll have to see if I can find it again.

<edit> Found it! here it is:

You have to admit, it sure looks like something CAT would put out.

I like watching American Chopper. It is pretty entertaining but as far as them “building” bikes I’m not that impressed. They design some pretty cool bikes but most of the “work” is done outside of the shop. Yeah sure they do a little welding here and there but really all they do is just assemble the bikes. Now if you want to get into someone who actually designs and builds bikes from scratch it would have to be Jessie James. Now he is impressive.

Oh… and the CAT bike. Kind of ugly to me.

Yes, now that was MEAN lookin'. Just in case anyone didn't see it. Was a 13 or 14 liter Cummins out of a Peterbuilt with tranny and rear axle. Basically a powertrain with a seat next to it. Looked really good on the road.
