I should be heading north in a couple weeks, keep running into pesky issues, little things, you know, like a blown head gasket and cracked timing case. !

Only took a couple pics. But I left my cable at moms so can't down load them yet. I’ve made the trip so many times that there’s not much I haven't seen.
I kept running across Toyota tundra 1 ton pulling a trailer; these CTD sure outclassed him in the hills. I would literally be at the top of the grades before he even got a 1/4 way up. I finally got to talk to him at a pull off above Steamboat, I asked him how heavy he had his trailer loaded, and he was embarrassed to say it was empty.

Where you headed to...I’m a little **** (mom’s words) on my trips...If it can break, wear out or go flat I have a spare. Trip was hi an dry all the way up, watch out for rocks at the base of hills, thaw is breaking them up, I straddled one about a foot long an six inches high, very lucky on that, no way to stop or swerve

Im going to Fairbanks. I lived there for a year, liked it a lot, but moved back down to back together with an old girlfriend. It has taken the better part of 2 years to save the money and build my truck up. Head gasket just went bad last weekend, and my timing case has a hole in it, just glad it happened now instead of on the stewart cassiar. Thats what credit cards are for.

Paul, glad trip went well. My mind and mental pictures were vivid as I remembered running that highway a couple years ago in early May. Lakes were still frozen (Munch Lake - - so neat), lots of snow on the sides of the road, hills still very white - - what a neat trip. This is Lake Kluane - - one of our overnights - - price was very good - - free.

Seemed like everytime we crested a hill or came around a corner we had to stop and go WOW. Then the cameras came out. Fun. Hey, now you have me wanting to do it all over again.

Bob

u.s mma....Honk when you go by....seriously though let me know what time your passing by an maybe you can stop to stretch your legs...'

pind...Sure is nice to be back north, but had a nice time at mom's I spent most of my time cleaning up the ranch. Been 10 years since the black berry bushes were knocked back. Cleaned out 4 outbuildings and cut the willows off the riverbank. She can't do all the work by herself now, so this might have to be a regular thing now.

FiverBob...I like the trip too...I've Spent nights at both those lakes. On the way down in January, I stayed at the lodge at Muncho for 50 American, usually a 200 dollar room. Talked them down since and I got there at 1 a.m. and was the only one there.
