No one to blame!

Went to see my lady at her house last Friday, then I left my truck there and locked it. We took her car out of town and returned today to find that while we were gone, we received a little over 5" of rain northwest of Weatherford. And guess what both of my passenger side windows were down. Seats are soaked, carpet is in a puddle of water. I'm furious but I have no one to blame...so all I can do is laugh about it now.

Blame me if you like I probably did something wrong that may or may not have directly or indirectly had a positive or negative effect on the outcome

If you have a couple of box fans you could open the windows on that side and rest the fans in the opening pulling air from the vehicle. Put a couple of smaller fans on the driver's side pointing at the wet area. It'll be dry in a day.
Don't ask me how I know this works!!

I had a cab clip done on a previous truck and had to pull all of the interior. The back window had been out and rain had got in. Even thought the top of the carpet felt dry, the pad underneath was still damp. It would have dried eventually, but it takes a while to move through all of that material. If you really want to be sure it gets all dry fast, you may want to pull the carpet and pad.

A wet and dry shop vac can help too, pull up the big water so you don't get that funky smell going on..

Look at the bright side ... the water will re-hydrate the old dried out McD's french fries under the seat .... so you'll have a snack on the way to the auto detailer !!

Cheers,

Looking out the window right now--prob wont dry out leaving the windows open today!

Youre not alone, Ive done this multiple times, usually by leaving my back window open, but Ive left my truck parked behind the shop with the windows down, just to drive by in my work truck a couple days later in a week of rain, and see all the windows open--that was AWESOME! If you can get your hands on a Cool Blue blower fan, those work excellent at drying it all out.
