Hey yall. I don't know how many of yall care, but I would really like to get as many signatures for this as possible. This is a petition that will be sent to the state legislature asking them to repeal the recent front liscence plate law. Hoss, I don't like the way they look on sports car (vette's, mustangs, camaro's, ferrari's), it detracts and reduces the value of classic sports car because you have to drill a hole in the car that wasn't supposed to be there. I also believe that the cops can find something better to do than pull someone over for not having a front liscence plate. I know it's kind of trivial, minor things, but it's something kind of important to me.

 

I think the website is down. I wish NY would do the same thing and get rid of it.

if you're lucky enough to get caught by a red light camera here and don't have a front license plate they add another $300 on top of the $300 fine. Welcome to Kalifornia as the governator says.

 

If you don't like it MOVE!!!! I did, but not for those reasons.

 

I swear NY keeps it so they have something to bounce their radar off of when they are trying to catch speeders. Especially nowadays where cars are all curved and fiberglass.

PA dosen't require front license plates !

 

They do use it to bounce radar off of. They especially hate corvettes because there really is no reflective, flat surface to bounce a beam off of.

 

Nor does FL, GA, IN or NM.
In IL we used to split the plates btwn vehicles. Never got caught.
When NM dropped the front plates, they saved themselves a cool million bucks a year.

 

Ammm..... the engine? C'mon... do you really think that fiberglass deflects the signal away? If that were the case, Stealth aircraft would be so much cheaper!
