I bet you make coffee like grandpa used to. fill the pan with water and toss in a couple scoops of coffee. dump the grind when you cant get enough water in the pan to get a decent cup of coffee out of it.

Evening DTR wife and I had t-bones and baked taters tonight for dinner, Cooked everything on the grill and it was good!

SCOTT, I know you like pictures so I got a picture of the power plant I work at today from the top of the ash pile about a mile and a half away. It produces just under 2000 Mw.

No, I had to go that far away to get a good picture. I don't smoke.

Spruce bark beatle killed off hundreds of miles of trees. Loggers were trying to get permission to harvest the dead trees and plant new ones. Forest service liked the idea. Sierra Club and other outside interests blocked it. They didn't want those rotten loggers cutting down the forest.
Finally a fire came through and wiped out everything including a bunch of homes and cabins in the Caribou Hills.

Good morning DTR

Coffee is ready, thereŽs fresh baked donuts and a big birthday cake with strawberrys and whipped cream, and 11 lights on.
My little girl is 11 today, that went way too fast....

Have a good day, IŽll be eating and having family over and eating and drinking some real good beer.

Yo...

How is everyone? I sure have missed a lot of breakroom...

The internet here is terrible, they have two wifi rooms, but you can never get on. I made buddies with a civilian here that has regular internet in their office, they're hooking me up...

Anything major happen?

Actually yes, I do. But I don't think they'd be into the whole 'Early American Rustic' look I'm going for!

Afternooner all. Early hay run this morning so no history report. Had to be on the road by 0300. 4 hours away is the closest hay that someone doesn't want $100 per big round bale for. There are a lot of people around these parts taking advantage of the drought conditions. Yes, hay is scarce in south west Michigan, but that's no reason to rape people blind if you DO have some. I wouldn't do that and I'm not going to have it done to me. I'd drive 20 hours if I had to, just to prove a point. I usually get it right down the street and when I drove by the guys farm this afternoon with the full load of hay, he saw me a chased me into our driveway. Wondered why I didn't get it from him. He found out EXACTLY why I didn't get it from him, nor will I ever again.

I thought i would pass along that I just saw a headline. America has lost a great explorer today.

Neil Armstrong has passed away.

Yeah, I was bummed hearing about Armstrong passing.
I have some terrible pictures of the landing that I took of our TV screen using my Brownie 127 camera.

I just figure if you are going to fertilize and water grass you may as well get some benifit from it.
Maybe get a sheep to eat the grass. They taste good and according to Chaikwa they make good company.

Thats what I loved about my kids birthdays. Good reason to eat and drink beer.

Dad used to tell a story about when he was a kid there were two main dairy farms in his area in the early 30s.
One of them burned down so the other one practically doubled his price overnight for dairy products.
The locals banded together and started driving a truck to Sacramento everyday to pick up dairy.
The remaining dairy farm lowered his price again but it was too late and hardly anybody would buy from him.
Too bad you cant get people to band together like that anymore.
