New Patio :) (I'll be hiding out here)

If you can't find me around (not that anyone is looking), try looking here:

If you see me out here, I am not sleeping, I am just resting happily, as there is a distinct possibility that I might be under the influence of a frosty cold adult beverage of some sort. If you stop by, help yourself to what ever is in the blender

Nice job! I want to build the same style of patio surface and add a fire pit. How did you prep the surface under the patio?

I just wrote a check

Seriously, the contractor just poured a 4" concrete slab about 18' x 16'.

Maybe it will work better for our next N. TX #8 DTR GTG than "the ranch"? You could take out a couple of sections of that fence and we could all park our rigs in the back yard for great day of wrenching! Your wife would love that I bet....

Seriously, Looks awesome!

Thanks for all the comments guys. We waited awhile to have it built, but we are glad we did. We never used to use the old patio. I could live out there now.

As far as directions, just look for the recycle can that has empty Patron Silver bottles spilling out the top

guess I should look at my maps before I chime in next time. Its south west... I thought McKinney was on the east edge of TX.

Now if the temps would just go down where it would be more enjoyable! Geesh what happened to spring?....been mid 90's here for the past 2 weeks. Gonna be another long hot summer for sure.

Your patio would be more comfortable around here if we could pipe in some A/C from Canada...

I hear ya. Luckily, it faces the east, so in the eveing, the sun is on the other side of the house. With today's breeze, it isn't too bad, as long as I don't move . I just have Billie fill my glass

My patio faces east too, but after most of the day in the sun, the cement and rock holds so much heat, its always hot... How bad is your rock for holding heat?
