new guy - cool screen name?

what ya think? just typed it in, figured it would be taken already.

got it last week, all stock for now.
4x4, off-road pkg, tow pkg, quad cab, cloth.

got less than 2 tankfuls thru it yet.

how happy am i gonna be with the 4:10 gears? it seems to wind a bit, but it scoots around pretty good.

what about some used Nerf Bars, i want some black ones, but the wife wants chrome/SS so i was thinking i would get some used black ones, in case she's right. i mean, it could happen, she could be right...

automatic.

pretty basic truck, steel rims, single infinity CD/cass deck.

it's our primary family vehicle for traveling and around town stuff, so we just wanted something good on gas, and easy to drive.

i work on a Navy base, and it's a long wait to get on base, so no sticks for me.

we don't have anything to tow even, just tired of buying fullsize trucks and saying "I can't do that"

this truck will do all i ever want to do.

Bit of advice, never say "GAS" on a diesel site.

Some of these guys go into convulsions when they hear gas.

Say "fuel" mileage, "diesel" mileage but never "GAS".

04---Welcome to the site

Don't ever get chrome if you can help it. Chrome chips, exposes the steel under the plating, then starts the old Fe oxide process (rust). Plus--everytime you step on your new "chrome" nerf bars you'll scratch the heck out of them.

Go with the Stainless steel, cost about 300 bucks. Mine are three years old, a bit more dull than when new, but NO rust.

PS. Nice ride, I'm green with envy.

Welcome to the site and the DTR family.
If you like your new ride now and think it scoots pretty good, wait 'til it gets broken in in about 12,000 miles.

BTW, Gas is what DieselDude4X4 get after one of his patented "Other Building" breakfasts.

04ctd:

Congrats on the purchase. Put a few miles on the beast and continue to hang out here - the wallet suffers!

Get a bite from the BOMB bug and look out!
