Thumbs up New CTD Owner

Hi everyone, Im brand new to the site and it seems very informative. I took delivery of a '06 Ram 2500 CTD 4x4 on Saturday. I LOVE it! I stepped up from the Hemi, and there is just no comparison. Here are a few pictures of her.

I am looking for the best tuner for a stock Cummins, so all opinions and info are welcome. Thanks!

Congrats on the new Truck, welcome to the club of happy CTD owners. You might get more responses to your tuner question if you posted it in the 3rd gen performance section.

Nice going, I dig the color.

I would suggest you wait until the "Smarty" programmer comes out for your year truck. From the reviews, it is the latest and greatest (can't shut these guys up about it).

There are several options out there of course. Let me be the first to tell you, now that you are diesel powered, you are going to want to get yourself some gauges. This way you can monitor that Cummins power plant and know exactly what is going on when you do decide to do some modifications.

Good Luck

Thumbs up

Thanks for the welcome everyone! My truck is a work/play truck. It will haul a 16' trailer and be used as a work truck, but also used for highway trips. Its too nice not to.

My mod list will be a tuner, intake manifold, CAI, and exhaust. I wont go any farther than that. It should make PLENTY of power at that level, yeah?

Well I have the Bully Dog with crazy larry and think it is great, but I haven't tried anything else. As far as the rest of your list looks good. Oh ya add a Fass to that also.

Yeah, as cheap as the rest of the crap we all "need" for these trucks.

It is an aftermarket fuel pump, it has a 4 year waranty which makes it an atractive choice. You can get the pump by itself or they sell a fancy two filter set up.
