new bike: bought it last night, dropped it this morning

i hate being stupid.

but i love that God protects me from myself:
-i had the little slim saddlebag rails on my last bike, they just hold the saddlebag up, they don't offer any protection. the stock saddlebags protectors are big & bulky & ugly.

-i sold the old bike, but bought new slim rails for new bike

-got frustrated at finding a bike at a good price

-sold the slim rails on ebay. had them boxed up in the truck yesterday to ship today.

-got a new bike last night. posted up on a bike for forum for some new slim rails after i got home last night

dropped the bike this morning, right on those big bulky protective rails.
all the sudden, i like them big bulky rails more....our God is an awesome God or i would have had them rails on last nite...

Only two kinds of Motorcycle Riders...

Those that HAVE dropped a bike, and those that will!
Glad it wasn't damaged and welcome to the HAVE side.

All the best riders start somewhere! I have dropped my bike also, but you learn, more your body learns to avoid certain things. You will be more conscious of your bike now.

yep. it kinda feels good to get it over with.
that's a big heavy bike. been riding a road king for 2 years, but this is another level of heavy.

i rode it ~180 miles home last night.

but adjusted EVERYTHING last night: heel toe shifters, shifter linkage,
and all the hand controls

so it was totally different trying to get it moving this morning.
and the wife was yammering, the dog was barking....yada yada...
anyways, all's well when it still runs.

i stood it up, cycled the ignintion switch a few times to clear the "i fell over" kill switch,
and it started right back up.

Welcome to the big boy club. Mine used to look like yours until the long winter hit. The big twins handle so nice and smooth out on the open road.

Just got back on Monday from a 2300 mile ride.

Left Cincinnati for Nashville to see Music Row.
Nashville to Cherokee, TN to get on the Blue Grass Parkway.
Stopped in NC to ride the Dragon tail (Deals Gap). Got back on the parkway to Shennodoah, VA. Got on back road all the way to Arlington National to visits some fallen friends. After that we road back roads all the way back to Cincinnati. NO I DO NOT RIDE A GOLDWING!

04, is that the Candy Apple Sun-glo paint? If so, it's the same color as mine.

Short out
