New ATV
New ATV
Anyone here have the new Polaris Outlaw with the KTM motor? I'm shopping around for a high performance two wheel atv. This is one of the considerations. The others are the raptor and the honda. Any opinions of any of these. Basic use of this is to just burn free time. Not going to race them or anything nearly competitive. Just around the yard and some public trail riding.
Thanks

Raptor is better suited to trail than the TRX450r or the YFZ450... Kawi KFX450r just came out. It's fuel injected, handy if changing elevation a lot. The Honda 400ex is probably better suited to trails, but the 450r can be helped considerably with a different front sproket.
Not too sure on Polaris.... I think I would be more tempted to go Honda/Yamaha/Kawi..... just my $0.02

You might want to check out the Can-Am Renegade 800. The best of both worlds Sport/Utility and is 4 wheel drive.

I have ridden the outlaw 500. Its a great trail machine. Great suspension. Its also pretty fast, will stay with 450r's . The 525 engine is supposed to be wicked fast. Much faster than 500. Any outlaw, IMO, will be a better riding quad on the trails than the 450's or Predator 500. On a race track though, they wont be as fast as 450's cuz of the weight.
Dont hold me to this but I balive they shaved like 30 pounds off when they put the KTM in the Outlaw. It still wouldent be as fast due to the IRS's stability in tite corners but they did lighten it up.
