oooohhray!!!!! and Thank You from all service related job workers!!!!!!!
You know friends back home know I am an engineer in the Marine Corps have been for over 10 years so I am ok pay wish, NOW... ...But they are like, "why dont you just get out and make more money back in highway/regular construction running the cranes and job sites as you do for the Corps. "
I say
"I would rather spend my time in the Marine Corps in other peoples countries harrassing them there then EVER let them have the time of day AGAIN to even plan to harm ANY countrymen of mine let alone my family and freinds.

You know I can remember right where I was at also. I was actually on a range for M16A2 yearly qualifiactions. I was there coaching that other shooters and helping them shoot better.
Most notably though I was buying a hot dog from a vendor that had served in Vietnam. Fellow Marines might know John the hotdog guy on Stone Bay range. He had a radio on in the van.

I remember exactly where I was (at work) and I was listening to a local radio morning show and they play pranks and are always being funny to stir people up. For about 2-3 minuets I thought it was just another skit then my buddy came into the room I was at and said I need to turn on my TV! No radio skit, that was for sure!!!
Never forget those that lost their lives......... and who is responsible for it all!

I will also never forget where I was and what I was doing. My job actually sent everyone home cause they thought we should all be with our families. When I got home and saw the footage on tv I was blown away. I remember calling my wife who was still at work and trying to describe to her what I was seeing on tv she thought I was exaggerating. That was a very sad day for america.
I was in 8th grade math class ... when I got home my grandma (who was visiting) broke down in tears. I will never forget that day. The next morning sitting at the bus stop everything was quiet no birds, planes,or cars.
Was glued to the tv for that day. Remember having to take a break from it all, and heard my neighbor out mowing his lawn. Went out to talk with him, and he had no clue what had happened. After I told him what had been happening, I said "We're going to war over this". Before he even saw any of the footage, he said "We better G-dam better"! 9-11 is my birthday, but my family always makes sure it is a somber day as well, to honor all who lost their lives that day, and all who have paid the ultimate sacrifice since then.

I was walking out of my Electronics 202 (Mech Eng Courses) at University of Lafayette. The building was Rougeau hall, one of the newest on campus and they had TV Monitors in different areas in the halls of the building. Someone had turned on the news, this was just after the 2nd plane hit, so we knew it was no accident. Must have had 200 or so students and faculty alike watching. Its like everyone froze at the same exact moment in time. You could hear a pin drop. It was so surreal.
